Other Australian distilleries sell barrels filled with new make.
Our approach is totally different.
We take the guess work out by supplying three-year-old premium whisky, aged in 200L ex-Heaven Hill Bourbon casks.
You get to taste & choose the bourbon cask whisky you want & what the finishing cask will be, so you know your whisky is going to be good from the start.
This process guarantees that even with the smallest 30L casks, the end result will be at least 5-years-old, with a depth of richness & flavour that will take you to your happy place!
We’re also offering a limited number of semi-aged casks (between 200L and 250L). This means you can buy a barrel already well on its way to greatness, enjoying its final transformation over the last few years of its maturation.
To bring barrel ownership within reach of more Australian whisky lovers, we’re offering the chance for you to purchase a share in a barrel, either with a group of friends, or we can link you up with others.

Keen to own a share of a barrel? Find some friends to share a full barrel, or we can link you up with others to purchase a barrel together.
We’ll send six-monthly samples in the proportion of your ownership. For example, someone who owns 50% of the barrel would get a sample twice the size of someone who owns 25% of the barrel.
We’ll provide advice on the appropriate addition of water during maturation & when we think the barrel is ready to be bottled. Where a consensus is not reached between the owners on key decisions, we reserve the right to make the decision for the group.
At the time of bottling, each person receives a share of filled bottles in proportion to their share in the barrel. The person with the largest share gets to keep the barrel where the barrel has been purchased as part of the sale.
Where two or more people have equal largest share of the barrel, we encourage the parties to reach agreement on an arrangement for one party to purchase the barrel off the other equal largest owner(s). In the absence of agreement, Amber Lane is able to purchase the barrel from you.

LARGER BARRELs
Oloroso Cask 222 is available for purchase.
This superior 250L cask was sourced from revered Jerez sherry producer, Fernando de Castilla & was filled on 17 August 2022.
It is already tasting incredible, with a depth of rich spices & dark sugars.
Small samples are available on request until 31 March 2025.
Indicative pricing is $160/litre.
